Holiday Shipping Update

The USPS has posted this message at the top of their tracking page:

ALERT: USPS IS EXPERIENCING UNPRECEDENTED PACKAGE INCREASES AND LIMITED EMPLOYEE AVAILABILITY DUE TO THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND REMAIN COMMITTED TO DELIVERING THE HOLIDAYS TO YOU.

We understand that many purchases this time of year are intended to be given as gifts and we want you to be able to give this holiday as you you planned.

If you have made a purchase recently, please follow the tracking information in your email for updates on the location of your package. If you are considering ordering from us, please know that orders placed today or later will probably NOT arrive before December 25.

Once a package is picked up by the carrier, it is out of our control. We are happy to file a claim with the carrier if your package seems 'stuck' somewhere along the route, but that's all we can do.

We're sending good thoughts and love to you, to our customers, and to the folks who are working hard during this busy time to deliver packages across the country. This deluge will eventually pass and shipping times will return to their normal status.

In the meantime, we hope you're still enjoying the outdoors and planning for amazing adventures in the weeks and year to come! (We are seeing our first big snowfall of the season here in Iowa - we have about 4 inches and it's still -slowly - trickling down!)

Happy adventures to you and yours from the Hiking Dog Co team :)!
